Jamtris Tetris-clone cell phone game
Update: If you have any requests for the next version of Jamtris, please add a comment here.
Jamtris is a Tetris game that is supposed to work on all mobile phones which support java-games and a colour screen. Have a look at the compatibility chart below to see if your mobile phone is listed. If your mobile phone supports java-games, Jamtris will probably still work on your phone even if it’s not in the list below.
Jamtris is based on Tetris by Per Cederberg. His webpage has an applet with the game so that you can try it directly in your browser.
|Confirmed to work with|
Jamtris is available in three different flavours: Generic, MIDP2 and Nokia. The only difference between them is that the MIDP2 and Nokia versions run in fullscreen mode. If you’re not sure which one to download, The Generic version is a safe bet. If you want fullscreen mode, and you have a mobile phone bought within the last few years, try the MIDP2 version. If you have a Nokia phone download the Nokia version.
All versions come with or without sound. For sound to work you need a mobile phone with support for .amr sound files. If you’re not sure, try downloading the version with sound and try to run it. If it doesn’t start chances are it’s because your phone doesn’t support .amr files. Almost all modern mobile phones do support .amr files.
How to download
To download directly to your mobile, point your wap browser to http://tomas.epineer.se/wap.php and select the desired version of Jamtris in the list. If that doesn’t work try selecting the “.jar” link right next to it.
The other download option is to use the download link below to download the game to your computer and then use a cable or Bluetooth to transfer the file to your mobile phone.
